Research group: The Nordic Countries and the Third World

The Third World group is concerned with the relationship of the Nordic countries to third world regions and individual countries on bilateral as well as Nordic basis and also within the framework of international organizations. The primary topics are decolonization, development aid and the international economic order, as well as different approaches to maintaining and creating a more peaceful world order. Nordic policies and approaches will be analyzed on a comparative basis and also within the framework of the like-minded nations as well as Western third world policies more broadly.
